Singlet oxygen to treat skin eczema

Eczema is a general term to describe different skin disorders. Beside the aesthetic effect that might dramatically harm the patient’s self-image and self-confidence, the health challenges associated with these disorders are severe. From atopic dermatitis to seborrheic dermatitis, the different skin disorders are accompanied with pain, strong irritation and other side conditions, and might damage drastically the patients’ life quality. It has recently been shown that using the ZMedicAir device, people suffering from eczema experience faster healing of their skin lesions and reduced flare ups. The ZMedicAir experts supply much detailed information regarding the innovative technology and the way singlet oxygen helps optimizing the recovery process.

What is eczema?

Eczema is a chronic skin condition characterized by inflamed, itchy, and often dry or scaly patches of skin. While the exact cause of eczema is not fully understood, it is known that it results from a combination of genetic, environmental, and immune system factors. Many people with eczema experience periods of flare-ups followed by periods of remission, where the symptoms improve or disappear for some time.

Two very common types of eczema population are atopic dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis.

Atopic dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis is the most common expression of eczema, and it is very common mainly among children, but not only. The disease tends to appear among those we suffer from asthma or hay fever and caused by damage to the skin barrier, allowing penetration of moisture, bacteria and other infectants to the inner layers of the skin. This is a chronic condition accompanied by the following symptoms:

  • Intense skin tingling and itching. Sometimes the itching is so intense it makes patients harm their skin scratching.
  • Skin peeling and scaling.
  • Intense redness.

Seborrheic dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis (or seborrhea in short) is a common skin disorder causing an itchy rash and skin scaling and peeling. The skin becomes infected with light spots and irritation, making the daily routing very difficult. Although seborrhea will mainly appear on the scalp, it may appear anywhere on the skin and mostly in the chest, arms, joints, groin and nose area. The causes for seborrhea are varied including hereditary, as a result of increased stress, fungal infection or as a side effect of medications using. Often, seborrhea patients are babies and toddlers and sometimes, it may take a long time until the appropriate treatment is given, due to a misdiagnosis of seborrhea as diaper rash.

Singlet oxygen by ZMedicAir to treat skin disorders

Singlet oxygen is an electronically excited form of molecular oxygen. When reaching the outer surfaces of the body, various biomolecules on the surface of the cells “sense” the singlet oxygen and act as receptors for it as they trigger a cascade of reactions within the cells, ultimately inducing the expression of genes that are part of oxidative stress cellular response mechanisms. As a result, the singlet oxygen encourages cellular regeneration in the damaged skin, accelerates recovery processes and decreases the symptoms of mentioned inflammatory skin disorders. In addition to the local response, singlet oxygen also induces a systematic response through immune cells located in the outer surfaces of the body, such as macrophages in the lungs and eyes. Following activation by the singlet oxygen, these immune cells can migrate to other parts of the body, communicating with other immune cells through secretion of cytokines and other molecules, leading to the moderation and modulation of the immune response, leading to a reduction in flare ups as well as a more efficient response to infections.

The great advantage in using ZMedicAir

The ZMedicAir device produces singlet oxygen in an innovative patent-protected process. Unlike other solutions, the ZMedicAir converts ambient oxygen to singlet oxygen using a unique honeycomb-like metal structure. This is a natural process, with no radiation involved, producing singlet oxygen in low and safe-for-use levels.

As a result, one can use the ZMedicAir for 24 hours a day, enjoying singlet oxygen treatment at home, without the need of auxiliaries like masks, tubes etc. or use restriction. The ZMedicAir experts would like to help you fit the right treatment for your needs. For further information supply your details on our website and one of our representatives will get back to you as soon as possible.
